A ton has happened the last few days. On Sunday morning I got a call at 5:30 am that my step-sister Kayla was in an accident and that they were going to life-flight her to Salt Lake. So I rushed over to see her before she left, not knowing if I would get to see her again. It was really traumatic to see someone that you love lying on a table in a neck brace and an oxygen mask on, and her mouth was covered in blood. So you are all asking what happened. Her and her husband house is the "party" house. At 3 am 2 boys, her husband friends, and Kayla left to go to the store. There is an "S" shape curve in the road and they hit and ran off the road and over corrected and flipped the car 8 times. No one was wearing a seat belt and they were all ejected from the car. Kayla broke her neck, back, and both collar bones. One boy broke his neck, but got to go home the same day, and the other boy broke his back. If the bones in Kaylas neck had shifted at all she would have died. It was so serious that Salt Lake had to send a jet to Idaho Falls. She was moving her arms and legs but we weren't sure if she would have ended up paralyzed. Her husband was out of town for work and we weren't sure how he was going to get to the hospital, he didn't have a car. Luckily his boss was wonderful and drove him to Salt Lake. When we got there she was alert and talking to everyone. We thought that they would need to do surgery right away, but they didn't. She is actually home now. She has to wear a back brace and a neck brace. She is sooo lucky. So then yesterday Brian got a call that his mom was in the hospital. She has lots of health problems lately. She has an enlarged heart and breathing problems. She went to the ER Weds morning at 12 am with chest pains. She ended up having a blood clot in her lung. So she will be in the hospital for 4 days total. We think that she will be alright. So if that wasn't enough emotional stress, my mom didn't get the job in Pocatello, only an hour away from me. I know she has been praying and whatever happens is supposed to happen, but I can't help but feel really sad. I'm sure one day we will live close by. This has been a really emotional week for me I am glad this week is almost over!! I hope everyone else has had a better week than I did! Love you all!!
